SQ Consult evaluated the EU-funded project to support the further development and strengthening of the Korean Emissions Trading System KETS. The support project to be evaluated was run from 2016 to July 2019 by the European Union and the Korean Ministry of Environment. The evaluation of the project will look at the DAC criteria relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and impact of the support project and the consistency with, and added value to, other EU and Member State support projects, using project documentation, external literature, stakeholder interviews and surveys and several missions to South Korea. The aim of the evaluation is to produce recommendations on how the EU assistance can be further improved and applied in this and similar projects.
