The regional blending facilities have been set up by the EU for financing development projects in third countries (combining grant and loan components).
SQ participated in a team, headed by KPC, advising the European Commission on extending these facilities and on enhancing the involvement of the private sector. SQ Consult addressed the mainstreaming of climate change mitigation and adaptation issues in the appraisal of investment proposals, as well as the financing of low carbon strategies and NAMAs through the EU blending facilities.
